New Zealand Contemporary Landscape Artist

Gill Allen was raised on the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom. Surrounded by the beauty of nature it was evitable that landscape would be at the centre of her arts practice. Gill’s artwork embraces her joy of mark-making and colour; creating lively energetic images. Sketchbook experimentation forms a large part of her studio practice.  Gill graduated Otago Art School in New Zealand with a Bachelor in Fine Arts and later received her City and Guilds in Further Education Teaching in the UK. 

Over the past twenty-five years Gill has honed her  painting and drawing skills, with a predominance for the soft pastel  medium, joining Pastel Artists of New Zealand (PANZ) three years ago.
