Frequently Asked Questions about the Online AGM
An AGM is a meeting that incorporated clubs and societies are required to hold each year. It provides an opportunity to:
1. Elect the executive and other Management Committee members.
2. Confirm ex-officio and support team members.
3. Ratify the Rules of Association, if required.
4. Present the President's Annual Report.
5. Present the Financial Statements and Independent Audit Report.
6. Inform members about the Society's activities during the past year and plans for the future.The AGM is your opportunity as a financial member to have a say in how the PSA is
managed and who will help guide the Society in the coming year.
Even though voting takes only a few minutes, your participation is important.
The more members who vote, the better the PSA is able to reflect the views of its
membership.You will receive an email from the PSA containing a link to an online survey
form.
Simply:
1. Click the link in the email.
2. The survey will open in your web browser.
3. Enter your email address to begin.
4. Answer the voting questions.
5. Submit your completed survey.
You can stop and return to your responses if necessary, and your responses
should be recorded automatically.
It's designed to be quick, straightforward and convenient.No. Voting is not compulsory. But we would really like you to vote!
The AGM is one of the most important opportunities you have as a PSA member to
participate in the running of your Society.No. Your email address is required so that the PSA can verify that you are a current
financial member and entitled to vote.
However, your individual vote will remain confidential.Below here on this page contains the important AGM information you need to make informed decisions, including:

Financial members have an opportunity to raise concerns or ask questions about the AGM material.
Questions or concerns must be received by the Secretary by 5:00pm Saturday 5th
September by email to the secretaryozpastels@gmail.comOnline voting will open at:
8.00 am AEST – Wednesday 9 September 2026
and close at:
5.00 pm AEST – Thursday 10 September 2026
Don't leave it until the last minute! Set aside a few minutes during the voting
period to complete your survey.Once all the votes have been collated, the outcome will be emailed to members.

The PSA relies heavily on volunteers to keep the Society running and to provide the
activities, services and opportunities our members enjoy.
If you would like to volunteer for a vacant position or find out more about what's
involved, please contact the PSA.

This gives you a total of 33 hours in which to choose a time that
suits you to complete your voting – it should take no more than five (5) minutes, assuming you have read the material referred to beforehand.
How to be nominated to be on the PSA Management Committee
All Management Committee positions are declared vacant at each AGM, and current Committee members who wish to continue must be nominated by two other members of the Society and re-elected.
Any member interested in serving on the PSA Management Committee may be nominated by two other members, with the nominee’s agreement in writing. Members may also approach other members and invite them to stand for election.
PSA Management Committee members have approached other members to encourage them to consider standing for election, and several members have agreed to be nominated at this AGM.
All nominations are subject to the PSA Rules of Association and election by members at the AGM.
