About The Demo:
In this session, Janet will create a portrait from life, beginning with a charcoal drawing and gradually building layers of pastel to develop the tones and colours of the face and background. Along the way, she will explain her choice of materials, discuss her approach to capturing a strong likeness, and share practical tips for creating a lively, expressive portrait.
This demonstration offers valuable insight into the process of working from a live model and is ideal for artists interested in strengthening their portrait skills.
