In this demonstration, Anne Yang opens with a thoughtful inquiry into the artist’s intent, exploring how we choose our subjects and the specific emotions we wish to share with our viewers. She then moves into a live demonstration of her soft pastel layering techniques, showing exactly how to build depth and atmosphere to achieve those creative goals. Through her process, Anne reveals how to translate the shifting energy of the ocean into a compelling and purposeful composition.
