Time & Location
29 Aug 2026, 9:00 am – 30 Aug 2026, 4:00 pm
Anglican Hall, 13 Lawson St, Warren NSW 2824, Australia
Details:
This two-day pastel workshop (with one day option, either day is available to book) will cover underpainting in watercolour, preparing with pre. drawing with thumbnail design and adding figures/animals to create a story within a landscape.
Day 1 will explore drawing animals and figures proportions and simplifying shapes within a landscape.
Day 2 will be working on a landscape adding animals and figures to create a story within this landscape. You can use my reference kindly given to me from Rachel Cant or as most live in the country may have their own references.
Students will become more confident with simplifying shapes and adding figures and animals to a landscape.
We shall focus on simplifying the subject, colour choices, edges and composition. The gesture of a figure shows movement so I shall show how to simplify drawing a figure with this in mind.
You may wish to use your own images taken by you (please, no internet images). It's more fun to find your own images. Reference photos will be provided as well.
