About The Demo:
In this demonstration, Master Pastellist with the PSA, Christine Clark, will transform a fleeting, heartfelt moment of a child and father she observed on a Paris street, into a luminous pastel painting. Christine will show how to move beyond the photo to capture gesture, emotion and a story.
Working from broad shapes, she will demonstrate how to build form through value and colour, using lost, blurred and found edges, and guide the viewer’s eye to the emotional focal point. The result is a soft, atmospheric work that celebrates everyday human connection.
