Richard Suckling — An Expressive Approach to Soft Pastels

Join us for a special live Zoom demonstration co-hosted by the Pastel Society of Australia and Pastel Artists of New Zealand (PANZ). This collaborative event brings together pastel artists from both sides of the Tasman for an inspiring evening of learning and connection.

In this session, Richard will share his expressive approach to working with soft pastels, exploring techniques that bring energy, movement and atmosphere to a painting. Known for his confident mark-making and dynamic use of colour, Richard’s work demonstrates how spontaneity and structure can work together to create powerful visual impact.

Time: 5.30 for a 6.00 PM start to 8:30 PM (Brisbane AEST Time)

Location: Online via Zoom

Cost:– Free for members of PSA and PANZ

$10 for non-members
