We’re thrilled to announce a very special international collaboration — a joint Zoom demonstration with the incredible Dawn Emerson, renowned pastel artist and innovator!

Exclusive Members-Only Zoom Event + Painting Competition

Join us for “Merging Worlds: Abstraction and Reality”, where Dawn will demonstrate how she blends 'trace monotype' and 'monotype' printmaking techniques with PanPastel and soft pastel to create imagery that beautifully merges abstraction with realism. This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the world’s leading pastel artists — perfect for those who missed her workshops and a valuable refresher for those who attended.

What to Expect

• Approx. 2-hour Zoom session

• 1.5-hour live demo by Dawn Emerson

• Members’ Painting Competition with General & Master categories

• Judging + comments from Dawn (limited comments live due to large numbers)

• FREE for all 2026 PSA & PANZ members

• Entering a painting is optional — enjoy the demo either way!

Painting Competition

• Entry fee: $5.00 AUD (via PayPal to PSA – details coming soon)

• One prize voucher per category

• Upload instructions will be emailed in mid-February

• Zoom capacity: 100 attendees — first in, best dressed!
