Artist Bui Thien Long, born in 1989 in Hoa Binh, graduated from the Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts (Department of Monumental Painting) in 2013. He currently lives and works as a freelance artist in Hanoi.  

As a son of the Muong ethnic group, Bui Thien Long possesses a distinct artistic voice, expressed through his choice of mediums and themes tied to his inner emotional resonance. He finds his identity in the harmony between the rustic medium of pastel and the simple, profound imagery of highland people.  

The artist focuses on exploring portraits, particularly facial expressions and nuances—where each face tells a life story that the artist can only truly empathize with through a long process of observation and connection.  In addition to portraits, he also creates landscape paintings and sketches, capturing fragments of life drawn from his memories and personal experiences.
