Born in Perth Western Australia to Hungarian refugees, my early childhood was essentially of a European sensibility. My interest in art was first aroused in high school, inspired by a very orthodox art teacher, Ms McCaull. Sketching and painting became a favourite pastime after school, replacing homework!

Initially I chose nursing as a career but completed a Ba in Fine Art in my 30s., but wasn’t until my children began school that I devoted my time to art, replacing housework and cooking!

I have participated in many workshops by renowned Australian and international artists. Making my home in Melbourne, I won many awards and sold many paintings. I now call Brisbane home. Painting is a wonderful obsession!
My other interests include history, archaeology, restoring old furniture and reading historical novels.
