Celebrating our 2026 Annual Awards Ceremony

What a fabulous afternoon we had at the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre on Saturday 15 August celebrating the winners of the PSA’s 2026 Annual Awards Exhibition.

With 168 paintings on display, and 40 awards presented to 22 artists, there were plenty of reasons to celebrate – including several artists taking home more than one award.

We were delighted to welcome Mayor of the City of Moreton Bay, Peter Flannery, our major sponsor, arts supporter Councillor Brooke Savige, and representatives of our sponsors who could attend, Leona Beeson from S&S/Arthouse Direct, Chris Thams, National and International Sales Manager, Art Spectrum.

A special congratulations to Tricia Taylor, whose stunning wave The Air I Breathe won Best in Show. Tricia also won First Prize in Animals for Flight and received the 2026 PSA Pastellist of the Year award.

Thank you to our member Emmanuelle Fonsny, from Sydney, who played the grand piano as people arrived. Thanks also to all our other volunteers who helped with the awards ceremony preparations and to all the guests who came to make the afternoon such a special celebration – and for sharing in our PSA 40th anniversary cake!
